Also known as Indian Frankincense, Boswellia serrata is a natural botanical with a long history of use in Ayurveda, the ancient medicine system of India. It has been traditionally used to reduce inflammation, particularly of the joints. Studies have shown that boswellia is in the top of its class in reducing inflammation and pain in rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis and has also been shown to be effective in reducing the severity of inflammatory intestinal disorders and diseases, potentially including those caused by IBD (Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis). It has also been shown to reduce gut symptoms such as diarrhea derived from IBS. 

Casperome® is a new delivery form of Boswellia that addresses the absorption issues associated with typical Boswellia extracts. Using patented Phytosome® technology, which complexes Boswellia extract with sunflower lecithin, Casperome® Boswellia has demonstrated significantly improved absorption. Not only is Casperome® better absorbed, but it is absorbed faster to deliver quicker pain relief. Casperome® also remains in the system longer which makes it ideal for one time per day dosing which is more convenient for consumers.
